Indigo Hayes is a Variant- a superpowered being that has gained their power through a traumatic event. Orphaned at a young age, Indigo is raised by professor Elias Clemons, a well respected man who has the inability to die. Indigo has lived her whole life at Woodcreek Preparatory School, a boarding school for young Variants and sanctuary for runaways. Her small community has been through hell and back, getting stronger with every loss and every setback.
With an upcoming election that could dictate the fate of her people, Indigo has enough to worry about. That is, until a certain girl escapes a testing facility and brings with her a target on her back and a hitman who will stop at nothing to collect his bounty.
Indigo will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the girl’s origins, as well as the facility she escaped from. Even if it means working with the man who haunted her childhood, and takes her life in the process.
